The new season of Fargo is really great so far. Ewan McGregor plays dual roles as twin brothers. One owns the largest parking company in Minnesota and the other is a low-life parole officer and they are feuding over their parents inheritance since the parole officer brother took the Corvette which has now seen better days and the other successful brother took the stamp collection to help start his business. The one stamp he held onto is sort of the catalyst of a plot that sets a series of events in motion. Mary Elizabeth Winstead (Ramona from Scott Pilgrim vs The World and more recently 10 Cloverfield Lane) is also in it and does a great job.

If you have ever seen the movie Fargo or the previous 2 seasons, this follows suit. It is essentially broken but decent people who do stupid things and get way in over their heads very quickly.

I think the season is about halfway through now so it is a good time to get caught up if you are interested.

Those are brilliant TV shows. One of the few things I watch this time of year that is not baseball. The writing, acting and especially the cinematography are all top notch.

Yes! It all feels very movie like in it's production values. The acting is very nuanced as well. The British guy who plays the main bad dude is very creepy for example. Every scene he is in makes me uncomfortable when I watch.

I watched gracepoint (the american version also staring David Tennant only with an american accent) It was decent enough. I haven't watched Broadchurch yet though.

Ah the CW effect. It's the crux of all shows on the CW. The Flash and Arrow as an example, they are decent shows, but they have a bad habbit of needlessly tossing in relationship drama just to please the teenage girls.

Season 3 but each season is essentially independent of the others. There's little nods to other seasons but nothing that means you have to watch them in order.

I would definitely have 3 of those in my top 5. I don't know if I've seen The Searchers or Dead Man.

All of the old Clint Eastwood spaghetti westerns are must see (Hang em High, Fist Full of Dollars, High Plains Drifter).

I love blazing saddles, a lot of younger people today just flat out don't get it. I was watching it with someone awhile back that was absolutely offended by how "racist" it was.

Um no, it's making fun of a lot of racist stereotypes.

It's one of those moves that would never be able to get made today.
