I don't remember when, but sometime maybe halfway through the first, after we had a better feel for characters and they moved past setting up the story/characters, we really started to like it.
I should have been more clear: I've made it through season 2, episode 7, but can only watch two episodes in one sitting.

    Could be ADHD too....

We've watched it since it first aired and really enjoy it. But, I'm a huge fan of most things Taylor Sheridan. He doesn't do cheery or light, just kind of dark, bleak at times and down to earth. When I first started watching, when I was tell others about it, I would call it a modern western, which is what I think it is. I think that's a genre you like or don't, because in the end, it's about a powerful, but financially struggling, rancher that will do anything to protect his family and land. It's probably no everyone's cup of tea.

Like I said, big Sheridan fan. I think Wind River and Sicario were also great. Without Remorse was real good. Maybe mixed on hell or high water, but really like, Mayor of Kingstown and the Yellowstone Origins, Tulsa King too. I just think that Sheridan is a master story teller. Season two is where Yellowstone nearly lost me, and it turns out the studio pushed him to go to a writers room, and the tone of the show, especially the first half, changed pretty dramatically, and then he took the show back as primary, and/or only, writer.

Still watching - not sure what episode I'm on, but it's damn good.

Also, too slightly less popular, but good, series are:

Capture. It's a British show that's on Peackock. Two seasons with different plots, but the same main character played by really good and seemingly up and coming, Holiday Grainger. At the heart of the story is deep fake technology.

    C. B. Stryke. Speaking of Holiday Grainger, she's one of the two stars in this BBC production based on books written by JK Rowling, but under a pseudonym. It's a detective series. Short, only 2-4 episodes per season, or series as the Brits call them.

Oh, one more, also on Peacock/Syfy, The Ark. Something goes wrong on a ship headed to _______ (some made up planet) and now what's left of the crew, and maybe humanity, are fighting to survive and complete their journey.

Seriously, I think it's the best season of drama television I've ever seen.

Kinger, you ever see a series called The Killing? If not I highly recommend it. It's a murder mystery with a dash of political intrigue and some good old fashion broken human drama. It is amazing. There is an episode, won't give it away but it involves capital punishment, that is one of the most gut wrenching episodes of TV I have ever seen. It's very good.
