Chernobyl was pretty intense. Sense of foreboding. People doing stupid shit we know they shouldn’t do in regards to plastic. Claustrophobia and losing light. KGB. The courtroom drama was edge-of-seat stuff. Crazy shit, crazy that it actually happened, crazy the toll it took on unsuspecting people.

But the thing I can’t stop thinking about is how wonderful their transportation system was.

Narcos managed to make Pablo Escobar a tragic figure, despite showing all of his ruthlessness. I’m not sure how I fee about that, but at the same time, what a brilliant show.

How could you idiots let me not watch this for so long? The end to season 2 was great. Season 3 beginning with a Spanish version of “Achy, Breaky Heart” is also hilarious.

Yeah I thought Narcos was the shit. You need to just follow anything I recommend in this thread and you'll be good.

Insert stellar lead (Pedro Pascal, and from what I understand about Narcos:Mexico, Diego Luna) and hot Latina women and you’ve got a good base. Then you put the real life stories of drug cartels. Bam!

I'm on the fence about Narcos: Mexico, but the truth is that I haven't paid enough attention to know for sure, I keep waiting for a hook.

I'm Not OK with this, that was fun as shit though.

I will probably watch that on your recommendation.

Right now I'm just so enamored with the novel The River, I think about how good that would be as a movie or series.

Narcos Mexico is probably just as good. Michael Pena is a great lead and the character development is great as well, just like Narcos was.

It's like Terantino does a television series.

Also, for some reason made me think of a vampire/Van Helsing dynamic. The Nazis are the vampires/monsters, Mayer Offerman as the Van Helsing/hunter.

So far it's kept my interest. .. about 3 episodes in.

    Finished this last night.

Couple of surprises at the end.

I'll probably watch another season, but the big twist in the last episode felt like cheating by the writers. The smaller twist (Argentina) intrigues me for next season. 7/10 overall.
