When they see us. It's about the central park five being framed for a rape, and shows how and what happens when police and prosecutors lie. This was the case where DNA evidence exonerated the CP5 after a wrongful conviction. It also shows what happens when the general public whips and gets whipped up into a frenzy. One of the CP5, Yusef, spoke at a Gala I attended during my time at the IIP. Great stuff, very motivational to see what a person can do when they are attacked by the system like this. To this day, in spite of the evidence before us, some very prominent people in US Politics maintain the CP5's guilt, as insane as that is.
I think everyone should watch this.
It's pretty well done. Not great, but close.
I had no idea those guys were innocent. Great great failure by their lawyers whether thaley had beaten a confession out of them or not.

Been checking out Good Omen's on Amazon. It's pretty decent. I love David Tennant and Michael Sheen has a pretty good performance it as well. Neil Gaimen is one of my favorite authors.
We just finished season 1 of The Americans. So far so good.
Chernobyl.
This is the best thing I've seen on television in several years. Just a tremendous mini-series, and well worth spending the 6 hours or so on it.
So many lessons on group-think, planning for the unknown, and bureaucracy that all of us can learn from. This isn't something that just happens in Communist Russia.
Also digging this. I've got one episode left to go. One thing that has created an unbelievable amount of unease within me while watching this show is what I can only think to describe as "passive violence." In most shows, the violence is graphic and in front of your face. The amount of tension I've felt for these people just KNOWING that they're dead is something I've never felt before. Whether we're talking that they'll die in minutes, hours, days, weeks, months, or years, I'm reminded of it constantly. Being as vague as I can, when the wife entered the plastic, I was physically squirming, knowing what was coming for her. It had nothing to do with the visible gore on the screen. I'm desensitized to that at this point in my life of viewership. This is just.... a truly unique viewing experience for me. I'm not sure if I'm actually enjoying it or not, but it's definitely something I can't take my eyes off of.
SHORYUKEN!
One scene from early on has the nursing staff at the hospital taking all of the firefighter's uniforms down to the basement to get them out of the way because they are highly radiated.
Those uniforms are still in a pile in the basement of that hospital in Pripyat. And are STILL to this day deadly radioactive if someone were to come in contact with them without proper protection.
