Ok. I'm going to finally watch Mad Men. I've watched seasonal one. I couldn't stick with it for some reason. I'm watching the last episode of season one.
*The statements above are my opinions, unless they are links, because then they are links, which wouldn't make them my opinions, and I suppose stats aren't necessarily opinion, but they are certainly presented to support an opinion. Proceed accordingly.

It's a very slow burner. You have to commit. It's not like Breaking Bad where there is a clear plot and an end in mind all sorts of intense moments and what not. Mad Men is more subtle. It's basically a period piece so part of the allure is seeing the changing of the decade. But it takes more time to get into than Breaking Bad.

Also King is not a classy man so we cannot trust his opinion on classy television shows.

I drink scotch, smoke cigars, can grow a beard, and I'm not a tiny OKC Thunder fan. I am eternally more classy than you, you little sunuvabitch!

The blatant sexism made it hard for me to watch Mad Men.

But thats whats so good about it - it is a historically accurate representation of how things were. the fact it is shocking shows how far we have come as a society. You cant watch 12 years a slave and get put of by the slavery!

Comments like "the man who invented it made it simple enough for women to use" made by a woman are how things were!

The racism, the misogyny, the work place drinking, the smoking, the clothes, the music - its just awesome!

The blatant sexism is why it's Bill O'Reilly's favorite show!

I understand what you're saying, but 12 years a slave isn't a show intended for entertainment, so to speak
