    Default Remaining DTs

Call me crazy, but if you all haven't noticed, the DTs we covet as fans are not exactly flying off the board. Might we have a legit shot at one of em in round 3? Here are the names still available:

    Austin
    Ballard
    Paea
    Ellis
    McClain
    Nevis
    Fua
    Casey

We're still only 15 picks away from our 3rd round pick. Maybe we get lucky and these guys continure to drop. Or maybe after one more goes, we trade up to grab one.

What's weird is that my wish list entering this round has only lost 2 names...Rudolph and Aaron Williams...and now Bowers.

We still have the DTs, Martez Wilson and Allen Bailey

Yea, im not sure Paea or Austin will be there but considering where they were supposed to go we might still have a chance.

Please be right, SA, but man, it just seems like the fingers needed to pull the trigger are just quivering... this is pretty much agonizing. Thanks for trying to talk me off the ledge.

Lol time to give it up. There must be something about Dove Valley that just repels the idea of drafting DTs early. This regime is going to do the same as the last: see what scrub falls to UDFA and deal with shit then.
    If not me, who?

Yet another season with a putrid DL. Teams will run on us with ease.

Not drafting a DT (and committing to Tebow) just shows me we are tanking this season to get Luck ;-)

Beginning to think this may be true..

Thought it was just mikey, maybe just maybe there is indeed a virus that infects anyone at Dove valley for winning the game at the LOS.

I do not understand the basic logic that you win and lose on the LOS.

Look at all of the playoff teams pretty simple, barring an anomaly here and there the LINEs are solid with all of the great teams.

MAYBE when they built the building it was placed over quicksand that sucks all the brains out of anyone that is not a DL coach.

No other way to explain it.

My one, realistic wish, is that the media seriously challenges the organization on why they think they can continue to compete by ignoring the heart of the defense.

"Why did you you feel that you did not need to take a DT in the early part of the draft?"

"In recent history, this organization has struggled significantly along the interior of the defense. Why do you guys not address that?"

"This organization has been one of the worst defenses in the NFL against the run over the last 3-5 years. What do you need to do to change that?"

All these questions need to be asked, and I feel the general fanbase has a right to these answers. If the organization chooses to do it unconventionally, fine, but then there better be results, and this defense has been on an unprecedented spiral down on the defensive side of the ball the last 10 years. When does that change?

could not agree more.. thought with FOX on board perhaps they would feel the need to address this basic tenet that has been lacking almost forever.

STill pissed that we got jay over either
