Congrats Peyton...You deserve it buddy!
Not only am I glad Hillis won, but I'm glad Vick lost. How the hell did the fans almost manage to get that monster in the winners spot?

We know trading Hillis was stupid, just like everything McD did with us (and probably dating back to his pre-teens) but you really think he deserves to be on the cover of Madden? I don't.
And people are still bitching about Vick? Get over it already. People are allowed to have a career after being released from jail.
Salt, meet wound. Wound, meet salt.
Its representation of having a GREAT year that people recognized. Vick's year wasn't that great. If he hadn't just made a come back from prison, his season wouldn't have gotten so much publicity. Peyton OBVIOUSLY was a fan favorite from around the nation, and not just in Denver.
So yes.. I ABSOLUTELY... 100%... without a doubt...believe that Peyton Hillis deserves to be on the cover of Madden.

Last night I dreamt that Hillis was brought back by draft day deals and I was so excited!
As Ravage said...had Vick's personal story not been out there and him getting the job over Kolb, it would have been a normal year for him.
The reason him getting the job over Kolb was such a big deal was because he came back from prison and had a good enough preseason to beat out Kolb. Michael Vick prior to prison would have been expected to beat out a Kolb.
His whole story this year is based on what he has done since coming off his felony and prison term for dog fighting. Big whoop.
I guess, needless to say, I am a lot less impressed with Vick who was drafted in the first round and expected to be a great QB than I am with Hillis who was drafted in the 7th round and traded and has been a great player and very different than any other RB. All the things Vick has done, expected.
I dont mind. The guy is full of heart and played his ass off for a franchise that is really struggling to reach respectability again.
Nobody needs to get over it mate. I dont care for him either as a person and not really even that fond of his playing. He can have still have a career as no one has stopped him but people still can show their displeasure at him.And people are still bitching about Vick? Get over it already. I don't give a rat's ass how someone performs relative to their draft status when assessing their performance. A touchdown for a first rounder counts just the same as a touchdown from a seventh rounder. While Hillis might have performed better than Vick relative to expectations, when you just look at their performances in and of themselves, and compared to others at their position, I don't see how you can say Hillis was a better player than Vick this season.
