Chiefs' Vrabel arrested, charged with theft at casino

Chiefs linebacker Mike Vrabel was arrested Monday morning in Florence, Ind., and charged with class D felony theft at the Belterra Casino. He was later released on a $600 cash bond.

Contacted by e-mail, Vrabel issued a statement to The Kansas City Star that read:

“It was an unfortunate misunderstanding, and I take full responsibility for the miscommunication. I'm sorry and I feel comfortable that after talking with the appropriate parties, we will resolve this matter.’’

I heard on Sirius that it had something to do with not paying for some Beers or something...

Gee, I hope the lockout hasn't been that stressful on these guys that they can't even afford their bar tab...

Indiana Gaming Commission Director of Enforcement Kenny Rowan said Vrabel was observed by an enforcement agent taking the bottles of alcohol from a deli without paying for them. He said Vrabel was very cooperative during the investigation and posed no problems during the arrest.

Why do athletes who make tons of money go to a casino and piss away their money??? They already won the lottery of sorts by playing in the NFL.

Not quite as ballsy as the Bellagio Bandit, who is from Colorado, and stole $1.5 million at gun point and rode off on his motorcycle
