Default Stephen Paea in the 2nd?

The big question as we make our way toward the draft is who do we pick to finally make the front line work on D? I don't have any favorites yet as I'm still reading about all the different guys and their potential to help or not.

I ran across this article and thought you guys and gals might appreciate some insight on Stephen Paea that you haven't read before.

Check out the article. Sounds like he could be a great addition if still there in the 2nd.

JimmyK needs his proofreading/editing proofread/edited. Lol
I understand who this guy is NOT, so that being said, I'm not sure I'd have an article like this on my team's blog. All I got out of it is more questions.....

    Stephen Paea in the 2nd?
    yes please!

i don't know that he'll make it to the second, though. . . although i am still seeing mocks that don't have him in the first. . . if his knee is right, i'm guessing he'll have a pro day to show it at some point, and i would expect him to end up with a first round grade when all's said and done. . .

we'll see. . . as everyone keeps mentioning, this is a deep draft for DLs-- if paea's not there, some other interesting options will be. . . there aren't necessarily a ton of pure run stuffers, though-- just another reason to take dareus with our first pick as far as i'm concerned. . .
“When we do find that guy, we’ve got to have the continuity on the offensive side to where we can train him and develop him and get him there. This is our fourth offense in probably three or four years. Quarterbacks need to be developed. You don’t find one ready-made. We got to have a solid system in place for when we do go after whatever guy it may be, a young guy or a trade or whatnot.”

Darius and Paea would be a major step in fixing our DLine for the next 10 years.

Personally, I believe I would rather have Austin if he's still around.

I don't believe Paea will make it to round 2. That said, Austin is very intriguing to me. VERY high risk in round 1, but may be worth a gamble in the second, especially since we have 2 pix. He has all the talent in the world, but does he have the head/heart to go with it? I dunno yet.

My position is that if we intend to go DLine w/ the first 2 pix, I'd MUCH rather grab DT and then DE over DE and then DT.

Dareus/Fairley w/ Allen Bailey in round 2 sounds much better to me than Bowers/Quinn and then Marvin Austin.

I would be thrilled to have either Ausin or Paea in the 2nd.

If we get Austin, though, AND we do what I want to do and draft Dareus in the 1st, then we'd better have already spent the evening making sure it's okay with DAREUS that we draft Austin, since Miles is the guy that got Marcell Dareus in trouble for the agent thing in the first place.

If Dareus is holding a grudge, go with a non-Miles-Austin pick, please.

I'm hoping that we can get 2 badass d-linemen in the first 2 rounds...but if I had to I'd settle for Dareus and a badass something-else.

There are some interesting production stats in this article for our potential future dline guys and some of our current guys as well. Sheds a little light on who might be the best pick depending on how they choose to use the guys. For a few of them like Paea, we'll have to wait until he does a full workout to see his numbers.

I have a feeling the Broncos take Peterson at #2.

    The reason ?

Stephen Paea. (they didn't mention he was a former rugby player)

Why ? This kid dominates with lousy technique.....just think how much better he can be with some coaching.......sick...

At pick 36.....good chance he is there. (because of injury)

At pick 46....fix the ILB with Sturdivant.

At pick 67....get DeAndre McDaniel.....a guy that reminds me of Atwater. (Not a Rahim Moore fan)

I think Doom and Ayers.......along with Paea and Sturdivant.....will begin to solidify the front 7.

Having another world class corner and a scary as hell safety behind them would solidify the secondary. (and create some attitude)

    Just my .02.
