I have had a late maternal grandfather in the Army, drafted after HS graduation for WWII. Briefly my late paternal grandfather served but was not sent to fight over health.
My dad was in the Air Force for nine years. Two nephews that served four years in the USAF but now are in the Reserves.
A nephew in law that was in the Army for four years!

Did the Marine Corp barracks Friday evening parade last week (https://www.barracks.marines.mil/Par...e-Reservation/). And I do recommend it for everyone if you are DC. Just don’t go with bunch of recently retired enlisted marines unless you enjoy them rag going on their mates at 8th and I.
