    Default Jeremy Bates- Seahawks. Watch.

For everyone that just loves Bates and thinks he is such a good OC..... Please watch the plays that Seattle calls today. You will now understand my gripes with him as an OC..

He never ever works the middle of the field. Everything is to the outsides or down the sidlines. You will not see any quick inside slants or any passes in the 5-10 yard range in between the seems. Very predictable and allows the Dbs to sit on the routes.
    The Plan at the moment:

Draft: Trade a 3rd and 6th this year to a team to move up and get a 2nd next year (this will happen).

    Players I want:
Jake Ferguson (Jake Butt) or Jelani Woods or Jeremy Ruckert or Cade Otten (owen daniels) at TE- All 4th rd or later.
Troy Anderson LB 3rd/4th rd (yay Timmy!)
Neil Farrell, JR DL- run stuffer- bye purcell

It would help if the Seahawks WRs could catch the ball.

No no, I am not even talking about the seahawks getting worked or dropped balls or anything else. I do not think anyone picked them to win last week or this week. But further than that I have been saying bates is not all he is cracked up to be. Said it when he was with us.

Now is a chance for people to see this for themselves now that he is not one of our own.

The plays, all the plays are outside and they are predictable too. Nothing in the middle and nothing quick and short. Regardless of caught balls or not. Seattle does not stand a chance, they never did but this is about bates..Win or lose.

There is such a mismatch in speed (footing) .....when you are that slow you have to throw double-moves as receivers.....Stokely got a flag on a double-move....but for the most part they aren't, and they are covered big time.

Defensively.....I would have "butched" Cutler to death in the first quarter. (Hit him regardless of consequence) Once you get in Jays head....he is in trouble.

Biggest problem for Hawks is footing, bad job on equipment.

He had a great game......need to find out what bet he lost with his son last week. (Was seen putting a dollar in his pocket after last weeks game)

Stokely HAD to go......Shanny picked him.

Looked like the Chicago QB had a decent game too

    Just sayin.

What was Bates supposed to do? I was impressed they got a first down against that defense in those conditions. Chicago is unreal upfront and the SeaChickens don't have a lot of talent. The game was a mismatch and I don't care what anyone says, the SeaChickens did not deserve to be in the playoffs. They won their division but there are easily 10 teams better than them in the NFC alone.

We KILLED them for Pete's sake.

Yes, you are exactly right. But this topic is not about how the seahaks never stood a chance or the fact that they are the first ever losing record to make the playoffs.

This is about bates. There have been numerous times where it has been argued that bates is really awesome and also really not awesome. However, since he is no longer a bronco it is hard to see him in action.

Todays game is one of the few times we can all look and evaluate his play calling and keep it a little more bias as he is not one of our own anymore. NO matter that even if he calls the right play it will get stuffed because the bears d is soooooooo much better than the hawks. It was if the plays were good plays or weren't. Predictable/non predictable etc etc etc.

And IMO he still has a long ways to go. He still does not ever work the middle of the field. Although they finally did have two reads over center at the end on the last drive. His routes imo are still predictable and it lets the DBs sit on the routes-making it a lot harder on the WR. I think for those that think Bates is the superior offensive genius, his play calling is still similiar to what we had here and therefore needs more work before he is crowned.
