You're right King. LT did play primarily out of a 3-4 base. Thomas got to the hall of fame in a 4-3 base though. I still believe that Von miller can be that type of player in either scheme.

Fairley scares the hell out of me! Too much risk and goes totally against what Elway stated IMO. They really do have to hit the number two pick.
If Carolina does select Dareus, Miller or Peterson have to be the choice if we can't trade out. The talent and value for both those two, plus their more consistent body of work in college justifies their possible selection at #2.
Fairley is not a #2 talent! Drafting for need gets a team in trouble more often than not. Although there is no sure thing in the draft, Dareus, Miller, and Perterson are as close as you'll get. Fairley, not so much.
IMHO when your n a huge hole you have to backfill to fix the issue.
If you can't keep the OL off of the LBs the other team is going to run at will.
We we all know that rushing records have been set on us A coulpe times in the past decade.
You dominate the Los and that does not happen. You can have some of the best LB in the game but if the OG is driving the five yards off the Los records get set.
Lets hope finally this year Fox fill that gaping hole on the Los.

nope, not for me. . . miller i could at least live with-- i'd sooner dig my eye out with a spoon than take patrick peterson over fairley. . . i don't think that guy is nearly as safe a pick as most people make him out to be. . . overhyped prospect who gets a lot of attention because of return skills that will be marginalized at the next level. . . long-levered, straightline fast, not very smart-- excells in press coverage, but hasn't shut down top receivers at the college level. . . i think he could easily be a better-tackling antonio cromartie rather than darrell revis-- and that's shit value at number two, no pun intended. . .
i'll take my chances with fairley's motor-- he was more dominant on the football field than peterson, and no player in this draft has a higher ceiling. . .
- John Elway“When we do find that guy, we’ve got to have the continuity on the offensive side to where we can train him and develop him and get him there. This is our fourth offense in probably three or four years. Quarterbacks need to be developed. You don’t find one ready-made. We got to have a solid system in place for when we do go after whatever guy it may be, a young guy or a trade or whatnot.”
More red flags for Nick Fairley: He’s irresponsible, too

Auburn defensive tackle Nick Fairley’s draft stock has allegedly dropped since the end of the college season, when he was considered in most circles to be the Panthers’ likely choice at No. 1 overall.
The “one-year wonder” label is understandable. Fairley spent two seasons at Auburn, and was productive in only one of them. Fairley’s on-field effort has also been questioned. What we never quite fully grasped were character concerns, mostly because there was nothing specific to make them believable.
Now, there is.
ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported on SportsCenter Wednesday morning that Fairley has exhibited irresponsible decision making throughout the pre-draft process. Fairley missed his flight to Indianapolis for February’s Scouting Combine, skipped a meeting with a team there, and was also late to a team meeting at Auburn’s Pro Day.
We suppose it’s for all the above reasons that NFL teams are “privately comparing” Fairley to Albert Haynesworth.

In the Broncos' case, only if he could excel at Mike. Miller's too good to play
Sam -- and I could not imagine spending a #2 on Sam -- and D.J. is at Will.
So to put Miller at Will, where D.J. excels, and send D.J. to Mike, where D.J.
doesn't excel, would be counterproductive, IMO. Two very good Wills and
mediocre at the other positions doesn't look like improving the team, to me.
