*****PURELY FOR FUN. DON'T BE TOO SERIOUS WITH THIS*****
What do you think of an all 'Bama draft? Or at least a mostly 'Bama draft. Our needs include 3-4 DE, ILB, RB and Safety, all of which Alabama could possibly have entering the draft. We'd need to trade back a few spots in round 1 and then try to get back into the bottom 3rd of the round, but it could be doable...and we could infuse legit talent throughout the roster.
In my scenario, we trade the #2 for a pick between 6 and 8, as well as a 2nd and 4th round pick. We then use our own 2nd rounder, Miami's 2nd rounder, Orton and/or whatever else makes this work to get back into late round 1.
Round 1 (pick 6-8)-Marcel Dareus, DE...Great fit for our system. Fills a huge need.
Round 1 (pick 20-25 via trade)-Mark Ingram, RB...Moreno has been unreliable and Ingram is a beast w/ an incredible skillset. He's more smashmouth than Knowshon as well. Granted, this is the most unlikeliest of the picks.
Round 2 (pick 38-40)-Donte Hightower, ILB...Round 1 projection prior to the draft, Hightower is the huge, athletic type of LB we could use inside.
Round 3 (via Miami)-Mark Barron, Safety...fits another need
Round 4-James Carpenter, OG...More youth infused on the OLine.
