    Default Need help

I can not receive new emails on Office Outlook 2003, even though I can send emails. This started two days ago. I can view my new emails on hotmail, but they are not coming thru on my msn account. Any suggestions as to what I need to do to fix this problem?

Maybe you somehow accidentally forwareded your emails to somewhere else.

I am actually the least qualified person to help when it comes to computers, but no one replied so I figured I should at least give you the dignity of that.
    The Plan at the moment:

Draft: Trade a 3rd and 6th this year to a team to move up and get a 2nd next year (this will happen).

    Players I want:
Jake Ferguson (Jake Butt) or Jelani Woods or Jeremy Ruckert or Cade Otten (owen daniels) at TE- All 4th rd or later.
Troy Anderson LB 3rd/4th rd (yay Timmy!)
Neil Farrell, JR DL- run stuffer- bye purcell

Have you archived your emails recently? Sometimes the active email box will fill up.

Are they being sent to some random folder, or your junk email folder?
    This space available for lease.

Bear with me, as I am illiterate when it comes to stuff like this - anyway, a while back, outlook connector became a part of outlook. Since then, emails have been automatically archived, and there was an entry to show archived emails - which had plenty in it. That is also gone. When the system started archiving emails from my inbox, as well as sent, many entries would be blank. HOPE THIS MAKES SENSE

Hmm, I have a similar setup but using Godaddy instead of hotmail. I also use 2003 outlook, but it doesn't have an automatic archive feature. If I don't archive every six months or so, I can send mail, but I cant receive mail. I does the same thing as yours, I can receive mail on my godaddy account, but it just wont download to my Outlook.

You could try to setup outlook again to view the inbox.

Thanks - the repair tool on this is for outlook express, and I have Office Outlook. My son said he may need to uninstall and reinstall.

Carol, don't uninstall and re-install yet.

It sounds to me like your Outlook is having an issue logging in to the server to retrieve your email. I used to have this problem pretty regularly until I stopped using hotmail.

Try the following I found on www.living-with-outlook.com:

    1. In the Outlook main menu, click Tools, then E-mail Accounts. This launches the E-mail Accounts wizard.

2.Select Add a new e-mail account, then click Next.

    3.Select HTTP, then click Next.

4.In the HTTP Mail Service Provider box, select Hotmail.

5.Fill in the Your Name field.

6.Enter your full Hotmail mail address (including the "@hotmail.com") in the E-mail Address field. When you do, that information automatically appears in the User Name field as well.

7.Enter your Hotmail password in the Password field.

8.Set the Remember password checkbox so Outlook can check your Hotmail account without you having to manually enter your password each time it tries.

9.Make sure that the Log on using Secure Password Authentication (SPA) box is not set.

    10.click Next, then Finish.

When you are done configuring Outlook, press CTRL-1 to go to the Mail view.

Next press F9 to send and receive all mail. This sets up Hotmail folders and downloads messages. Seeing the Hotmail folders in your Navigation Pane will show that you were able to successfully configure Outlook for Hotmail.

Outlook and Hotmail are now talking to each other properly. The Hotmail Outlook configuration is now complete.

Thanks Davii - I will try this. Until this morning, I never accessed my email thru hotmail, until my son told me that I could still see them on hotmail. Not sure what happened to cause this in the first place.
