I personally don't think Brady is the greatest, but who's to say who is? Is there really anyone that can be definitely considered the best? The NE Patriot fans will boast and boast, but that doesn't make them right. They've had a good run, franchises do that when they get a HoF QB.

Thats why I'm more adamant about finding the right QB, than I am about finding the right DT.
Yea, i dont think greatest of alltime either but i would take Brady over Montana just based on what i have seen with their respective teams in terms of overall talent. But greatest of alltime no. To me when it comes to the greatest QB of alltime it would be based on what the QB was able to do when everything else failed and what set him apart from other QB's.

I try and like to think that I am objective when I make a statement. I have my opinion as to where certain players rank against other players I have seen. However, I can't rank today's QBs or players relative to all-time greatness because there were great players who played before I watched the games. I wish that I could have seen Starr, Unitas, Sayers, Jim Brown, etc play in their prime.

I didn't though so I will limit my comparisons to players I have seen play and try to always be objective, unless it is smack!
Too bad she doesn't cheer for the Patriots dressed like this

As soon as Brady takes over they win 3 out of 4 Super Bowls. The year they didn't they didn't even makes the playoffs. Their last of the Super Bowls was 6 years ago. I guess you could call that consistency. I'm not sure.

All these Top quarterbacks that come out and 'bust' would do a heck of a lot better if they didn't goto a team with a horrible line. Brady seemed to have that luxury. They've always had a good O Line, good defense, and a great coach.

Plug in a Quarterback like Matt Cassel and they do just the same.

Brady is 1 of my favorite QB's in the game. I always enjoyed watching him. Maybe since I was in 8th grade when he 1st started playing, and I was at like his 3rd career start when he played against Brian Griese and the Broncos.

So its been fun to watch him. Especially since the Broncos gave him his 1st career playoff loss and his only overtime loss.

While I don't think "look at the rings!!"! is a very good argument when comparing one QB to another as if it's the sole criterion, the fact that the Patriots won three Super Bowls with the roster they had is very impressive.

The coaching and defense have been good, but the receivers and running backs have been pretty substandard. Look at who's Brady's leading receivers and rushers have been since he became the starter in 2001. (RB stats go yards, touchdowns, ypc; WRs go receptions, yards, touchdowns).

    *2001 (11-5, SB win)
    RB Antowain Smith (1157, 12, 4.0)
    WR Troy Brown (101, 1199, 5)
    WR David Patten (51, 749, 4)

    2002 (9-7)
    RB Antowain Smith (982, 6, 3.9)
    WR Troy Brown (97, 890, 3)
    WR David Patten (61, 824, 5)

    2003 (14-2, SB win):
    RB Antowain Smith (642, 3, 3.5)
    WR Deion Branch (57, 803, 3)
    WR David Givens (34, 510, 6)

    2004 (14-2, SB win):
    RB Corey Dillon (1635, 12, 4.7)
    WR David Givens (56, 874, 3)
    WR David Patten (44, 800, 7)

2005 (10-6, lost divisional game to Broncos in sweet, sweet delicious candy-like fashion)
    RB Corey Dillon (733, 12, 3.5)
    WR Deion Branch (78, 998, 5)
    WR David Givens (59, 738, 2)

2006 (12-4, lost to Colts in AFCCG)
    RB Corey Dillon (812, 13, 4.1)
    WR Reche Caldwell (61, 760, 4)
    TE Ben Watson (49, 643, 3)

    2007 (16-0, lost in SB)
    RB Laurence Maroney (835, 6, 4.5)
    WR Randy Moss (98, 1493, 23)
    WR Wes Welker (112, 1175, 8)

    2008 Brady hurt for season.

2009 (10-6, lost to Ravens in wildcard round)
    RB Laurence Maroney (757, 9, 3.5)
    WR Wes Welker (123, 1348, 4)
    WR Randy Moss (83, 1264, 13)

And with one game to go...

2010 (13-2, who knows what happens in playoffs?)
    RB BenJarvus Green-Ellis (928, 12, 4.4)
    WR Wes Welker (86, 848, 7)
    WR Deion Branch (48, 706, 5)

    *Drew Bledsoe started the season.

Some of the performances over the years have been respectable, but these aren't hall-of-fame names. 14-2 with Reche Caldwell and Ben Watson as your leading receivers? And you went to the AFC Championship game? Deion Branch? David Givens? David Patten? These are your cornerstones of your dynasty?

We know that Laurence Maroney sucks, but he was the leading rusher on a team that WENT 18-1. Think about that for a second and let that sink in. Laurence Maroney - the leading rusher on one of the greatest teams of all-time.

Other than Randy Moss, Brady hasn't had a HOF receiver or running back, and most of these guys aren't pro-bowlers. The offensive talent at the skill positions around Brady have been resoundingly mediocre. And yet that offense continues to produce, and produce, and produce, and win a ton of games.

Sure, a lot of that is coaching and defense, but how on earth does a team win 14 games with mediocrity around the quarterback like that?

And the second he got a legit receiver, you saw what happened. Fifty touchdowns. FIFTY.

This isn't a QB who just got plugged into a great team with a bunch of offensie weapons, and cruised to three SB wins. There were no Jerry Rices or Michael Irvins or Emmitt Smiths or Marshall Faulks (but hey, there was Kevin Faulk!). He's throwing to David Patten and Deion Branch, and handing off to Laurence Maroney and Antowain Smith.

Brady deserves every bit of credit he gets. The guy is one of the very very very best of all-time, and he continues to impress each season. I say sit back and enjoy his play; we're seeing a guy that will be talked about as an all-time great for decades, and rightfully so.

Peyton is better than Brady. Take away some of his players and he will win. Brady didn't go on this streak until they got Branch back.
Please, I hope you're not being serious. Tom Brady is one of the best, if not the best, QB we've seen in the last decade. You can simply watch him play to come to that conclusion. If you can't see it, you don't know football.

Brady is a better football player than Peyton Manning..Peyton Manning plays indoors in 72 degrees. His records should have an asterisk. When manning has to play in december in cold, he usually loses and plays like crap. Brady is the best bad weather quarterback ever. Maybe the best qb ever. Some People hate great players. Its just the way it goes. The dude is good, thats why so many people cant stand him...

Tom Brady and Bill Belicheck will go down as the greatest HC/QB combo of all time. And it's not even close. Alot of Bill's success can be attributed to Brady's play, and alot of Brady's success can be attributed to Bill's coaching. The league has never seen a QB do more with less WR/RB talent throughout his career, and then when he finally got a big time receiver in his prime in moss, he throws 50 TD's.

The league has never seen a coach do more with less talent overall, especially on defense, throughout his career as Bill B. The guy, hate him or not, is a magician, an excellent talent evaluator, a deadly good tactician and leader. He has been the master at drafting late, trading picks and players for talent and salary cap issues, and smacks down ANY player who thinks they are bigger than the team. What he did with Randy Moss this season was effing brilliant. What Brady has done with his tight ends and how the offense evolved post Moss in that fashion was a sight to behold.

Like it or not, those 2 guys IMO are the best, especially in the postseason, at their respective positions of QB and HC, the league has ever seen. Brady is like an Montana 2.0 and Bill B. is like Parcells 2.0.

Then look at Denver's leading receivers and rushers while they had Jake Plummer.

    2004 Lost in Wildcard
    Reuben Droughns 1240
    Rod Smith 1144
    Ashley Lelie 1084
    Jeb Putzier 572
    2005 Lost in AFC Championship
    Mike Anderson 1014
    Rod Smith 1105
    Ashley Lelie 770
    Jeb Putzier 481

Isn't it the Broncos fans who said McDaniels system was set up to make the quarterback look good? It's the same system. The Pats system is set up to make the quarterback look good. I'm sorry if I don't believe Tom Brady is one of the top 5 quarterbacks ever. Apparently that means I don't know football. So be it.

He did, and I still stand by my original point that he has no clue what he's talking about when it comes to football.

Also, it killed me that they put him above Elway on the top 100 players list. They need to analyze more than just Super Bowls.
I'm not sure, but I think the players Brady passed did it over the course of two seasons. Jeff George did it with Indy and then Atlanta. It's impressive doing it in one season, especially when you MAKE names like Aaron Hernandez and Danny Woodhead and Gronkowski #3.

Brady deserves the respect for that, although I think Manning should get the MVP. He lost mostly all his targets, had no run game and is in the position to make the playoffs.

Ummm who are Brady's receivers again? What's his TE's names? Who is their star on defense? And it's been like that for how many years?

I can't stand Brady the guy, but Brady the QB is damn good.

You want to make a case for a QB who hasn't done shit that they gush over, cue Phillip Rivers, who by the way, has had an all star cast around him.
