69' Broncos 13 "Hotdogs" 10
I was the lucky recepient of a Broncos history CD for Xmas. I promised to pass along any unusual or interesting things I learned from it.
In 69', the local heros beat the damned Sparklers 13-10 in the old Mile-High/Bears Stadium. The guy running the Fenway Park, old style, scoreboard hung out "Hotdogs" for the Sparkies.
It became known as, of course, the "Hotdog" game. When the Broncs played at SD later that season the Sparkler fans buried them with hotdogs.
A pretty good story in itself but, the real item here is that even then they were like "that".
