Well, well - South Africa out! I had a feeling Australia might win this one.

About to watch the All Blacks versus Argentina.

Wow - try Argentina - and they take the lead 7-6!

I expect NZ to hit back with extra conviction and determination now, but the Argentinians have done better than I expected in the opening half hour.

Congrats All Blacks on making it through to face the Aussies.
That game should have a nice edge to it!

    Loving the semi line-ups.

Just so proud of the AB's. Piri Weepu does an awesome job of leading our haka, and tonight showed he is heir apparent to Dan Carter in kicking!

Aaron Cruden did a fantastic job (and far better than Slade), considering he hasn't played any rugby in over a month, and only got the call up last Saturday!

I think Australia will be tough, but we will prevail.
Whilst a win to France would see a replay of the first World Cup final, I would love to see Wales in the final. That way an NZ'er still coaches the winning team!

Gatland is much admired in Wales. He's made some brave choices - such as leaving experienced players such as Steven Jones out of the squad versus Ireland and James Hook on the bench, going with youngster Rhys Priestland at fly half.

We want him to run all our national organisations lol.
He says both the players and coaching staff are thriving being as far away as possible from Wales. It's such a bubble with so much expectations, sometimes it can have a stifling effect on the team.

I have to tell you there hasn't been such a buzz about the game here for a very long time.
What I'm hoping for next is that they play just as well versus France as they did versus Ireland. If they do that they have a very good shot at making it into their first final ever.

    Can't wait till next weekend!

BTW - credit to your country Kap on running such a wonderful World Cup. Our fans have had such a welcome. Lots of them have been staying with local families out in NZ and having the time of their life.

Our Gatland, who art from New Zealand, hallowed be thy gameplan. Thy scrum will heave, try will be done, in Wellington as it was in Dunedin. Give us this day our magnificent kicking and forgive us our unforced errors, as we dont forgive those scored against us. Lead us not into a third place play-off, but to the Final. For thine is the Webb-Ellis Cup, the power and the glory, tomorrow and next week. Amen...

Well we started the tournament with a 1 point loss and finished on the same note. Only this time we did it will one man less.

    Gutted.
France capitalised and did just enough.
Looks like a repeat of World Cup no 1 is on the cards.

    Good luck NZ tomorrow.
    Well done France.

    I need bisous!

So proud of the NZ All Blacks! They played an epic game of rugby tonight, and fully deserve to be in the final of the Rugby World Cup.

I wish it had bee Wales there with us, but I'll be happy with France if we can punish them like we did Australia tonight.

    4h place Wales.
    Lost 21-18.
    Pretty miserable game really.
In fact, back to back it's not gone our way.
Aussies however, shut us down today.
All in all been a great World Cup though.

    Looking forward to tomorrow's final!

Congratulations New Zealand on winning the World Cup.
Well done France for giving it their all and making it such a tight final.
Such a cute smile from McCaw when he lifted the Cup.
Very happy for our old coach Graham Henry too.
    Great tournament.
    Looking forward to the next.

One of the ugliest games of rugby ever, but a win is a win!

Thank you to all the teams who played such fantastic rugby over the last 7 weeks, and to all the organisers and volunteers.

    And most of all

Thank you to the New Zealand All Blacks!

24 years after winning the inaugural World Cup, NZ does it again, on home soil!

Congrats to NZ which was the best team of the tournament with no doubt.

I think we were better during the final but sadly we couldn't make it.
At least we gave AB a very hard time
I don't think it was a 80 minutes of laugh like some people thought it would be

Sharkie, of course you deserve a lot of bisous... I think we didn't deserve the win either. But Wales missed too many opportunities. Your boys had a great tournament. Honestly, I was more afraid by Wales than by England (though we don't often play well against them especially in World Cup). I still don't understand how you manage to lose that game...
So, if you need more bisous, I'm yours to please

That was a good cup... Congrats to NZ for the good organization and nice welcome. See you in final again in 12 years...

congrats to the all blacks. who did they beat in the world cup? also, is the movie Invictus a true story? I heard that the South African's gave New Zealand rugby team some type of food poisoning. any thoughts? that would have been in the early 90's
