    Yay for Portugal!

Finally a HOme Nation side looking like they know what they're doing.

I know Portugal are the RWC virgins, but damn! They played great rugby!

    Namibia have another try!

    It's now 27-17!

Is Scotland the only team coming to play?

Finished 32-17 I believe, one heck of a feat by Namibia to keep it that close.

    Well... I know I'm late...

We lost badly against Pumas... In fact, IMO they didn't win the game, but we lost it... No offense to Pumas though... They played like we were expecting them to play... But we were just awful...
One of the worst game of my team I've seen in years... We didn't even able to convert a great effort from our forwards... unbelievable...
And how... WT f Martin did to offer the try to Pumas??? Did he think he was Jake Plummer??? WHat an ill-advised pass... He should have keep the ball and wait for support... Now were are in troubles... We HAVE to beat Ireland and Namibie (with a great mark)... and pray that Pumas would beat Ireland...
Bad news is that even if we survive this 1st round, we'll meet All Blacks!!!!
And the way both teams are playing currently, I don't see us beating the best team in the world...

All the favs (expect us) won... More or less easily... Great demonstration from SH teams... AB, Wallabies & Springboks throw a message to all the other teams... NH teams are really not at the same level this year... IMO...
All Blacks are really a great team to watch... Every player can make a play and well... How physical, fast and well organized they are... Beware of Australia... They are solid as usual... I still have a look at South Africa even though they were not good in the 3 Nations...

Anyway... a surprise is still possible... France is still the most unpredictable team... We can be beat by Pumas (BTW the team that we are not able to play) and are able to defeat best teams such as NZ, Australia on one game....

I remember the 1958 tests series in South Africa... We were the 1st team in history to beat Springboks at their home in a series ... And despite all the odds, the crowd and all the injuries (French team were forced to play 2 injured players to have a 15 players team the last - and decisive - game)...
But we'll have to change our spirit right now...

And we have our secret weapon... Our lastest fan... Snappie...
Well... I'm not sure she supported us because we were playing good of because of our calendars... LOL
Anyway... Good choice Snappie... *bisous* ...

We've already done better than England, who pathetically lost 36-0 to South Africa yesterday and now have some points on the board.

3-3 after five minutes play between Wales and Australia.

New Zealand become the tournament's first team to score over a hundred points I believe, with a 108-13 win over Portugal.

By half time, it doesn't look much better for Wales than it did for England.

After that first score we didn't put any more points on the board.

Australia however went on to put an additional 22!

    Wake up Wales!

    We woke up!

A try finally, scored by Jonathan Thomas.

    James Hook converts.

Wales claw back the deficit to trail 25-10.

Argh, in typical Wales style we let down our guard, Australia go on the attack, we're lucky not to surrender a try, but commit a foul though and Australia go for the posts, but unsuccessfully.

Wales don't give up on their Get out of Jail card quite yet.

    aussies win...

    am i excited??

    no...

    did i expect this??

    you damn right...

but i feel we should be winning more convincingly than that...

but a win is a win...

and we got a bonus point even though we couldnt put wales to the sword...

You guys have more to come no doubt but I think NZ and SA have an extra edge to them.

Southern hemisphere rugby is putting up a good show so far, with the home nations being very lacklustre.

Georgia gave Ireland one heck of a scare too.

I think being in the group of death has gotten to both Ireland and France a bit.
