Yup. If Nomad's OK with the backscatter machines (I'm actually not, but consider a pat down a reasonable alternative) he doesn't have a problem. Meanwhile, I can't help wondering where the people complaining about Napolitano and no pat downs at Gitmo were when all the security ramp ups began years ago. The way I see it, anyone who complained that laxity led to the attempted Christmas bombing last year has no business complaining about tighter airport security this Christmas. I see no reason to entertain complaints that are made whatever is or isn't done; if you're going to be burned in effigy it might as well be for something you support. That seems pretty political for a non-PR thread, but since I'm only responding to points others have raised, apparently that's OK.
