Is it Godzilla alone or just giant monster movies you cant really get into? While Godzilla is my favorite (obviously) ive always enjoyed giant monster flicks whether its Beast from 20,000 Fathoms or Them, etc. Ive always been a huge fan of Ray Harryhausen's who did a lot of the stop motion work for a lot of the old school monster movies like Clash of the Titans, Beast from 20,000 Fathoms, The Valley of Gwangi, the early Sinbad movies (i think 3 in all) Jason and the Argonauts, etc.

I guess giant monster in general. I certainly see why people like it, I understand it, it just doesn't appeal to me

It was ok but i was never that crazy about it in particular. I actually ended up liking 10 Cloverfield Lane more up until the very end.

Yeppers. Not my favorite movie in the G series but the figurine and look is still pretty cool.

In October TCM is going to have a lot of horror movies and a lot of Godzilla movies playing that month.

Ditto. My wife wants to watch the new Godzilla movie, and I'm going to have to give in and watch it this weekend or next, but I rarely enjoy those type movies.
