People give me shit for liking him when I was in High School but hell, I WAS IN HIGH SCHOOL!

He opened the door for some great music for me like David Bowie. Manson will always have a place in my dark teenage heart.
I'll be there with ya then, I love me some Manson. :shrugs:

My Dad was stationed from CO Springs to Sacramento when I was pretty young. I grew up and went to college in Sacramento.

As a result I had a few opportunities to meet members of Deftones when I was in a clubbing band (sharing a practice space and having a few pops with them) but admittedly didn't always stay up on their material the way I did Cake's (who, same situation, I had more in common with).

Anyway I kinda missed their last album Koi No Yokan which is, wow -- great.

They're so good these days. Incredible. I loved their energy young and some of the '90s albums but had no idea they'd be this good. Holy shit. You knew Chino had something but Stef -- wow. Just wow.

This came up in conversation today:
*The statements above are my opinions, unless they are links, because then they are links, which wouldn't make them my opinions, and I suppose stats aren't necessarily opinion, but they are certainly presented to support an opinion. Proceed accordingly.
