Just pulled the trigger on some tickets to see these guys in July at Red Rocks. Hopefully it all works out!

That A7x was surprisingly dope af. No idea how that many acoustic guitars makes sense, but apparently it does. Maybe the same concept as 30 violins in a symphony.

They're a phenomenal band. There were so many different sounds to that song played that way. The beginning sounded like it was going to go full Flamenco, then when everyone else came in it sounded like a combination of Days of the New and Apocolyptica. When the strings came in it reminded me of the Metallica S&M album. Pretty damn awesome.

The concert Avenged Sevenfold did on the top of the Capitol Records building was also amazing.

IMO, Matt Sanders is one of the best rock vocalists around. Dude's voice is so dynamic. I think my favorite songs of theirs, which are both a perfect display of that band's diversity, are "Unholy Confessions" and "Planets".

I bought one A7x album and listened to it a dozen times or so, hoping it would become more addictive. I liked it fine, but it never begged me to play it again.

    The album?

    Let me check.

    'Waking the Fallen'

I'm listening to it now to update my verdict.

I, too, am listening to that album now after I mentioned the song "Unholy Confessions".

That album had me hooked, but then when City of Evil came out I kinda fell off of them. My oldest son started listening to A7X a couple years ago, so I started listening to them again and found a whole new appreciation for them as a band. They're ******* good.

I do not like AX7 at all, they are a terrible band to me.

Unholy Confessions is a killer track. That is a nice riff. Remenissions is another killer track. I like this band and this album but I have a hard time figuring out exactly what the identity or soul of the band is...

This will sound bad, but I actually liked and played Atreyu's *The Curse* a lot more than this album, even though I bet Waking the Fallen is objectively better. Because from *The Curse* I felt some kind of identity.
