I know some don't care for his music/songs, but it was really good.

Yeah, there are some of his songs/albums I just can't get into (I hate Raspberry Beret). But there is no denying that he was a musical savant.

    Gallowbraid - Ashen Eidolon

This album really kicks ass the more I listen to it.

In honor of recently deceased Phil May of The Pretty Things, the brilliant "SF Sorrow", the first ever rock opera, and just ******* brilliant. I've been rediscovering this one 52 years after it was first cut. Trivia - lead guitarist Dick Taylor was originally with the Rolling Stones before moving on to help found The Pretty Things. Probably not a great business decision in retrospect.

I had that tape as well.

The first time I played it was in my car. The first thing you hear is a cut-out from the movie. Billy the Kid says "Yoo-hoo. . .I'll make you famous."

On the stereo in my car, it sounded like someone had snuck into the back seat. Scared me.
