The White Album is great, there are a lot of great individual pieces. Very eclectic. But as an album album I've never felt it enough to want to listen to all of it. There's a handful that I don't want to listen to. So it gets knocked down a bit. When it's great, it's really great.
Yeah, I had communion with that album. The crappy songs started to make sense. Kind of. Not really. You get it.

Great music, but it's the first Wings album.

Long story short, I was trying to teach a friend of mine the words to that song, and came up with a "dance" back in the 80's to help him remember.

It's become a staple at all the weddings in my family, which are too many to count. To the point that it's not a real wedding if that song isn't played at the reception. A recent wedding in SanFran happened that most of the family couldn't attend (COVID), but they still played it at the reception.

Is there anything hotter than women with guitars? The obvious answer is swords, but besides that?

Listening to the story behind the song and listening to the song, wow. Just...wow. Check out the Song Exploder podcast ep. 150 about this song.

I knew it was about internal romantic strife with Stevie, but to me it's unreal when you hear Lindsay's isolated Maynard-like vocals (it gets pretty-fied with Stevie's and Christie's harmony over-dub) and realize they are still bandmates and the object of the song is singing the backup vocals. It's surreal is what it is.

And all the production stuff is amazing too--creating guitar landscapes with dirty and clean guitars, and so on. Plus the song is just one of the most fantastic songs ever made.

    Here's what I mean about Lindsay's vocals, at 0:37

Digging the new album. Its a spiritual successor to Adore with some cool cuts like this. Reminds of Eye from the Lost Highway soundtrack:
