Shit, if we're doing a thanks mom and dad for the good music, here's mine. Yeah, my mom was a FM fan too.

    thanks dad (Buffet 3/4 time)

    ^^brahma fear

    (from A1A, I cheated)

btw, I can't stand all that parrot head shit, but that's mainly a personality flaw.

Buffett is an A+ singer/songwriter, maybe the best.

Adam's Song by Blink 182. I forgot how intense this song was.

That song brings tears to my ears!! As a parent, the thought of one of my kids committing suicide just kills me.

^Minus the Bear has been one of my favorite bands since I was in 8th grade. Their last couple of albums have been pretty lame (their latest one is one of the few music purchases that I regret), but Menos El Oso, Planet of Ice, and Highly Refined Pirates are all excellent. Menos el Oso is like the perfect summer album.

Anyway, i'm listening to Billie Joe Armstrong and Norah Jones' new album they did together. It's essentially a cover album of Everly Brothers songs. It's surprisingly wonderful.

In this barren season / Only once a year
Upon her fine face / Drop the marble tears
Her cries are silent / But to touch these stones
Is to know her anguish / A fleeting sense of fear

Does she disturb / The realm of the dead?
Or is her presence / A bitter relief
For the one whose abode / Lies beneath the earth
Though he may rejoice / She laments her fate

"This curse haunts me / I will never escape it
The fates binding / Those tempting cursed seeds"

"One season here / Three seasons living in fear
That fetid air / Oh how I dread it down there
I can't escape / When I am bound to this fate
Oh Hades hear / Your season's end draws near"

"Below the sunlight's reach / Dark magic bears the fruit
The cursed juice so sweet / That wicked curse by you..."

"Prisoned to be with you / Shall I never forget?
That day the earth opened / and swallowed up my grace"

In this barren season / Never twice a year
Down from her fair face / Pour the marble tears
Her pain is silent / But to take these stones
Is to share her anguish / And to be cursed like her.

^ Listening to this a lot now.

My son loves the driving through space segments. Me too. It's a good song.
