Probably my favorite is Goodbye Earl. Those are the only two I can think of off the top of my head.

Check Lyndsay Buckingham on this video:

Smashing Pumpkins does a great cover of this as well.

Corgan's voice ruins the SP cover.

The OG version is great. I'd put the Dixie Chicks version over it, but that's probably the version I heard first so that's just the way it goes.

Watched this documentary about the Roland 808 machine and how it influenced music. Lots of cool interviews with old school people like Rick Rubin and the Beastie Boys, cool songs, etc. Highly recommend for you music nerds.

I need to go buy me one now.

Indian guy who wrote an album in 1982 using the 808 and fusing it with traditional Indian sounds. I've basically always disliked techno/house ravey kind of music, but this shit is just so cool.

I've never been that into her. Hope it lives up to its reputation.

I had a period where I was huge into female vocals. Tori Amos, Fiona, Natalie, Portishead, Bjork, etc. Like weirdly so--like I disdained male vocalists. Idk, anyway, it didn't stick. I kind of miss it.

It's a clever album, but I'll have to chew on it.

I get those 90s female singer songwriters that I first saw on VH1's top songs of the 90s shows all mixed up.

Never really listened to Liz Phair's music other than a few songs off of Exile to Guyville and her other popular singles. Just listened to EiG and it's a real good album. I've been reading about her career while listening. Very interesting person in terms of going from a beloved indie rock darling to a perceived teen pop sellout (Pitchfork gave her self-titled album a 0!). She seems like she goes her own way and doesn't give a **** who likes it and I'm into that vibe.
