I've been listening to this podcast on the Shudder app called Congeria. Does this intro remind you of a band?

And a BONUS full length copy of the Closure documentary from that time. I had to track down that VHS and bought it for $40 at Wax Trax in Denver. Now its free:
Masterpiece.
I listened to it soooooo much.
The song Heresy was challenging for me. Like you say, I felt like I was betraying my Christian values by enjoying it. And it was on first listen that I was confronted with these choices. Like I had to make a choice about belief. Did it matter what I thought?
Toward the end, after I'd played it so many times and burned through all the catchier tunes, the two songs I liked the most from the album are A Warm Place and Ruiner.
Reminds me of when I was shopping for a sound system. I ended up testing The Downward Spiral when I went to these audiophile type stereo shops--playing songs like Ruiner at very high volume to test accuracy and bass. That song is actually a really good litmus test, you don't get the full primitive impact without that ridiculous low end.
I also played a *lot* of Doom and Doom 2 around this same time. Talk about innocent depravity! I miss it!

It's about the loving case that now seems so long ago, yet it wasn't.
I reckon Abe, MO and d-bake will dig the song and hawg and king will appreciate the meaning more
