Great Hard Rock/Metal in the 80's vibe. Been listening to this album a lot lately.

She has a haunting voice. I like it very much. It was interesting on those songs, and maybe this is the 90s child in me, but I missed the growl, which obviously wouldn't have made a damn bit of sense with her voice, but still.

I want her to sing Black Hole Sun.

We were learning about Buddhism today and "nirvana" which is a buddhist term, so I told them about the band and made them listen to Smells Like Teen Spirit. I'd say probably 5 kids had heard the song before and knew who Nirvana was, mostly from Guitar Hero. Most of them hated the song.

This is what getting old feels like.

I don't think even Kurts daughter likes their music.

I've never been the biggest fan of them, but they had some good songs.

I mostly am against the whole grunge movement these days though. I liked it a lot when I was in high school, but now I just feel like an angsty dork if I ever find myself listening to it.

Fired up some Marilyn Manson today in the gym, made me get through the workout with great energy. Had to put it on for the drive home from work as well.

    Fail them all.
"We saw it…. the hussars let loose their horses. God, what power! They ran through the smoke and the sound was like that of a thousand blacksmiths beating with a thousand hammers

They rush on to the Swedes! They crash into the Swedish riters…. Overwhelm them! They crash into the second regiment - Overwhelmed! Resistance collapses, dissolves, they move forward as easily as if they were parading on a grand boulevard
