    That was tight dog.

This song just up and grabbed my ass. The 'comedy special' was fairly engaging.

There is a distinct moment in this song that is transcendental, it occurs at 3:23239 but you have to let it build to really appreciate it.

She's going to fvcking make it happen.

I listened to Purple Rain when it was released a bajillion times. It was probably the first cassette I personally owned. I was 9.

I'm binge listening all of Bruce Springsteen's stuff.
I've never been more than a casual fan of his music but I'm reading his autobiography and it's so well done I figured I'd give his music a shot.
    I'm still on the fence.
Some of it is great but I find a lot of the songs sound identical to each other.
I'm up to "Nebraska" so far and my favorite songs of all of them so far are "It's hard to be a saint in the city", "Born to Run", and this gem from "Darkness on the Edge of Town":

I had a Bruce phase in my 20's. I really liked the e-street album, listened to that nonstop for a while. His pop album was a staple of my early youth. Born to Run is a great song, his greatest hits are nice. I've heard Nebraska is a quality listen--depending on who you ask--but I fell out of love with his stuff before giving it a listen. I can only take so much earthy, sincere Americana.

    Dire Straits is underappreciated.

I want to listen to the sprawly stuff today. Music with tendrils that grow in the general direction of the sun, slowly.
