I need a suggestion. Prog rock with elemental atmospherics. Howling wind, ocean, rain, whatever. Was just listening to Robin Trowers Bridge of Sighs, and the howling wind background. I know Floyd does that on Wish You Were Here album, Tool and Rush in some of their stuff. Seems like a lot of ambient effects havent been fully explored.

Reminded me of this one. This is the kind of crap I'm hunting. E.g., at 10:30 into it.

I know you've already listed Tool, so not covering any new ground here... But the song that immediately came to mind (and one of my favorites) is from their most recent album that Maynard wrote about his mom - the title track - Wings for Marie Pts. 1 & 2 (10,000 Days). Must listen to the both tracks, at volume, in their entirety for maximum effect.

I was thinking about that song, I'll chill to it in the car while son plays soccer tonight.

I listened to a Tool concert on YouTube today while Estela and the baby were at yoga class. 2016 show from Charlotte. Maynard's voice ain't what it used to be. You can tell it pisses him off.
