Nine Inch Nails, Further Down the Spiral.

For whatever reason, I really like that album, nearly as much as The Downward Spiral--but in a different way. Like you might love two different children, one of them a brilliant shining light, and the other one a bit deeper and more intriguing.

I need the best music you heard in the last year or two or so, because here's the deal, I'm making Juggy Diamond. You might not know what that means, but it's big. And I need the best.

Such a broad request - any particular genre or style which would lend itself to your efforts?

No particular genre, although I plan to listen to it in the car. An old friend is visiting and we have similar diverse interests, although I tend more toward janky stuff.

So far it has hipster (TV on the Radio, Ariel Pink, Marc DeMarco), Rap/Hip Hop (Eminem, Kendrick Lamar, Kid Cudi), Folk (Langhorne Slim, Murder by Death, Bon Iver (?)), House (Nero, M.O.O.N.)

I'm looking for some more hardcore type stuff to maybe round it out.

Well, Juggy Diamond is finished, and it listens pretty damn good imo. Playing it on my Paradigms, some nice bass, some good tracks. It has a good flow to it, and the transitions are decent. It begins with Madeon's Icarus and ends with Murder by Death's Lost River. With some of the techno, I used Audacity to trim the track so it's more of a interlude than a full song. For example, I did a fade-out after the first 1:00 or so of this one:

Maybe I should do an infomercial about it now?

Ghuleh sounds great over a loudspeaker system. I should go to a concern.
