Hawgie, I went to a party tonight that I think you would've liked. My friend Sarah has started signing with a local folk band, and it was about a dozen of them sitting around a living room jammin' out. All older peeps, she's by far the youngest-- and they were good. Bass, four guitars, cello, conga, mandolin, ukulele, accordion, washboard and tambourine all made an appearance, and there were about half a dozen voices harmonizing. All older stuff. Yesterday, Norwegian Wood, Hey Jude, Landslide, Sound of Silence, The Boxer, Raindrops Keep Fallin' on my Head, Margaritaville, Rocky Mountain High, and a bunch of other stuff from the 60s and 70s.
“When we do find that guy, we’ve got to have the continuity on the offensive side to where we can train him and develop him and get him there. This is our fourth offense in probably three or four years. Quarterbacks need to be developed. You don’t find one ready-made. We got to have a solid system in place for when we do go after whatever guy it may be, a young guy or a trade or whatnot.”

It was fun. All acoustic instruments, obviously, but they did have one slightly amplified. The bass, with a tiny amp at probably ten percent. Old gal playing it was the oldest person there, she looked about 75. Still rockin' it, though.

RIP, really sad especially considering their music is finally getting released on streaming which means De La is almost certainly do for a resurgence, comeback, and some well-deserved love

I really enjoy the Harry's House album. It's rad.
