In all seriousness, Shane's little episode has inspired me to do an informational video next year giving FF advise. I recently joined a new church group with a number of FF players in it & we've already talked about me setting up a league for us next year. I don't know if any of them are actually serious about that, but if they are, maybe I can get some of them to join me in making the video so the watchers can get a number of different points of views.
Hopefully it will help newbees to not only be more competitive, but to realize that you can salvage your team from a bad start so they'll be less likely to quit. We'll also give advise on how to set up a league based on what settings we like best.

Huh - wanted to see if I had the good fortune of facing a dormant SFIAB squad later this season - sadly I do not.
That said, I'm realizing it was actually my squad that handed Shane his final humiliating 70+ point defeat that pushed him off the cliff!
I humbly accept this feather in my cap.

I've never done Fan Duel, but its my understanding that it tests your ability to figure out who's going to do the best in the upcoming week.
In FF, especially when it comes to the RB position, it tests your ability to figure out who's going to do the best a month from now. When you think you know, you stick them on your bench. If you’re right, you'll be like me digging out gold nugget out from underneath the nose of managers like you who don't understand this. If you’re wrong, you dump them & try again. I'm wrong far more often then I'm right, but I keep digging & eventually those gold nuggets start adding up.

I thought about nominating MO for manager of the year. After a week 7 beat down, Shane quit on us leaving 3-4 team (which was sitting on the 8th seed at the time) manager less. MO took over & simply managed the players that were already on that team without making any waiver transactions, with the lone exception of a K that he brought in as a bye week substitute. Since the takeover, MO has managed that team to a 4-2 record which finished in the 5th seed.
However, MO’s own team finished 6-7 which got him the 8th seed. So he did better with a team that he had partial control over for just the last half of the season then the 1 he’s had full control over from day 1

Somehow, NightTrainLayne became champion last year.
Obviously, that was a anomaly, so, as the commissioner, I demand that everyone be active again this year and thwart any future lapses.
