i've actually been pretty screwed by that whole scenario. after they told me that i had a job, but before they put in the paperwork, a hiring freeze came from the higher-ups. of course, i quit the temp job i was doing at the time... all this time later, i can't go back to the temp job, and the hiring freeze is in effect until nobody knows when. didn't even get a reach-around...

not for now. my brother said that they just had 2 admins (desk job) quit, so his boss is lobbying to let him hire people to fill vacated positions... if that happens, they might take me on as an admin, but it looks like the 80k job is off the table for now.
