Thread: Marshall Could Be Suspended 4-8 Games

I know this might be merged later, but I thought it should be by itself to start.

I hope it's wrong, but Brandon has screwed up too many times this past year.

NFL Network's Adam Schefter believes that Brandon Marshall is in danger of a four- to eight-game suspension.

Early indications were that Marshall might only miss one to three, but he's been arrested three times in the last year and has a DUI charge pending, so this new estimate may be more realistic. Fantasy owners drafting early this year must take this into account.

Schefter is a former Broncos beat writer and has excellent connections with anything Denver-related. The league is expected to make a formal decision on Marshall's status by next week.

Good, let him serve his suspension and move on. He deserves something for all his problems that he created.

I would think 4 games would be the ceiling. 8 games seems like overkill.

God, I hope it's only something like 2 games. Hopefully, Shefter is just being conservative.

8 Games? Marshall isn't Chris Henry or Tank Johnson, that would be ridiculous.

Maybe, but it would send a message. Unless he is as dumb as Adams and Henry.

if he is the for 4 or 8 games I will never respect goodell. Either of those is way too long. He shouldn't be suspended at all. He's been convicted of 0 crimes, and has no involvement with guns pike Johnson or jones did.

Pac Man Jones has had 0 convictions also.

If only he was a Patriot hed get a slap on the wrist. But if Goodell suspends Marshall for things hes never been convicted of for 8 games then that would be the dumbest shit ever. I dont know how anybody can call thereselves a Bronco fan and smile when a player gets suspended for 8 games for petty things. Must be some undercover Charger fans on this forum. Since 95% of the people here feel that the Chargers rule.

Adam Jones was arrested about 15 times and he does have convictions actually. Just got off with a good behavior ruling by the judge.

Goodell wont lose any respect though, because he has none from me after how he handled the patriots situation. He fined a billion doller organization about 800k and took away the 31st overall pick leaving them with a top 10 pick. Oh yeah real punishment hes dishing out.

I got a big grin when i read he would get suspended.

Sucks, but we saw it coming. 4 would be doable, maybe. 8 would hurt quite a bit.

Might as well brace ourselves for a 4 game suspension. I think that would be in line.

Frankly, I don't care about convictions, to be honest. People don't get arrested 3 times in a year just walking down the street popping their bubble gum; it usually because they are somewhere they probably shouldn't be, doing something they probably shouldn't, hanging with people they probably shouldn't hang with. If it takes a 4 game suspension to teach him he needs to change how he handles his personal issues, then so be it.
