Default Worst Sun/Mon Night Football Schedule I've Seen In Years

This has got to be the worst Sun/Mon Night Football Schedule I've seen in years...

why do the damn cowboys and redskins, giants, and eagles all have to dominate Primetime??? WTF!!!!!?!!?!?!?! 9 games for the NFC East on Sunday night alone! and 2 more games on top of that for Monday Night Football for the NFC East.

not to mention the Jets and the NFL's love affair with having them on Prime Time...

Whatever happened to Chiefs vs Broncos on primetime? Broncos vs. Raiders? Chiefs vs. Raiders? Pats vs. Colts? Rams vs. Chiefs? Rams vs. Broncos, Broncos vs. Dolphins, Broncos vs. Saints, Broncos vs Seahawks? Broncos vs. Texans...so sick of seeing the same old ******* teams on Primetime every year (specifically the NFC East and the AFC East every year) Someone get me Goodell's address, I'm gonna write a letter and bitch about it.

Overtime is on a rant tonight!

First games of the season tend to be really sloppy.

rams-chiefs and chiefs-raiders should be primetime matchups?

yea. . . and we should have cut orton and started brandtstater. . .

maybe they could also feature scintillating matchups like bills-browns, or bucs-panthers. . . come on. . . NFC east contests get guaranteed ratings-- you don't think they always have them by accident, do you?

it's not even that i think you're wrong, necessarily-- i wouldn't mind seeing other teams on prime time. . . waste of time complaining about the NCF east being there, though, they always are. . . why get all pissed over something that's inevitable? the league and the networks are both businesses, they're motivated by profit, not "fairness" or variety. . .

and outside of the prevalence of NFCE teams, what's really the problem with that schedule? the teams i wanted to see represented were cincy and houston, and they're both on there twice. . . denver has solid national appeal (comparatively-- it's hardly at an all time high right now), but i don't know what's so compelling about a team that's hovered around .500 for years now that any of our fans should get all insulted or bent out of shape because we didn't get more prime time games. . .

i'm just as glad we didn't. . . we haven't had a great track record in them recently, and quite honestly the alteration in their routine isn't particularly beneficial to the team itself, even if the fans like it. . . MNF gives you an extra day of preparation-- which is no advantage, as your opponent has the same-- and then it leaves you a day of rest/work short the next week, a disadvantage your opponent won't share. . .

if anything, i'd say detroit is the team that's conspicuous by it's absence, altough they do have the thanksgiving game. . . i still think the league would want to feature guys like suh and calvin johnson, but maybe they think they're another year away. . .

“When we do find that guy, we’ve got to have the continuity on the offensive side to where we can train him and develop him and get him there. This is our fourth offense in probably three or four years. Quarterbacks need to be developed. You don’t find one ready-made. We got to have a solid system in place for when we do go after whatever guy it may be, a young guy or a trade or whatnot.”

    A tie would be nice...

I got KC as my upset of the week. They are going to be pumped opening on Monday night at home for the first time in I think forever and San Diego always starts out slow. That and I hate the Bolts more than the Chiefs!

    Cowboys-Redskins game generates huge ratings
Posted by Mike Florio on September 13, 2010 12:09 PM ET
The golden goose continues to get fatter and fatter.

After the regular-season opener between the Vikings and Saints set record ratings for the kickoff game, the Cowboys and the Redskins game generated the highest-ever overnight rating for Sunday Night Football.

The game also racked up the highest ratings for any Sunday and Monday prime-time game in 13 years, and the rating represented a 24-percent increase over last year's debut.

The message? We love football. And intense hatred will be directed by many at anyone who takes it away.

    When you consider:

    a) the Raiders suck
    b) the Chiefs suck
    c) the Broncos not only suck but are so colorless that their third-string QB gets more media attention than anyone else on the team,

it doesn't surprise me at all that the AFC West has few primetime games this year. The NFC East has four high-profile teams with compelling storylines. I don't blame the networks for giving them more attention.
I miss the old Mile High Stadium.
