I was made fun of when I drafted Hillis in my fantasy league. I feel pretty vindicated at the moment.

I didn't start him, and am kicking myself. Will have to see if that burns me this week in that league.

The Colts released Tom Brandstater from their practice squad per Adam Schefter.

And in a complete contrast of left tackle displays, we should mention the remarkable play of Tyler Polumbus (+2.2). One week after giving up just one pressure to Denver, Polumbus did his best to convince Seattle that they don’t need Russell Okung right now, with a perfect display in pass protection. We just didn’t see this coming, but Polumbus has been one of the success stories at this point of the season.

I didn't see that one coming either. Nice job, Tyler!

No, me either. Maybe being back in a zone blocking scheme helped or the fear of having to get a real job.

Between his time with Josh McD and Payton Manning, Tom has got an incredable education in the NFL. I hope he lands somewhere.

Clinton Portis questions workloadEmail Print Comments21 Associated Press

ASHBURN, Va. -- Clinton Portis says he still considers himself the feature running back for the Washington Redskins, despite having only one carry in the second half of last week's game.

    NFC East blog
ESPN.com's Matt Mosley writes about all things NFC East in his division blog.

    • Blog network: NFL Nation

Portis said Thursday he doesn't have an answer for his light workload in the Redskins' loss to St. Louis. Ryan Torain, who was promoted from the practice squad, ended up with the same number of carries as Portis in the 30-16 defeat.

Coach Mike Shanahan has said Portis is bothered by a sore wrist, but Portis indicated the wrist is fine.

Portis has complained publicly in the past when he's felt he was getting a raw deal. But this time, he's not lashing out. He said his past grumblings never led to change, so there's no need to do it.

While, I like the kid, I could have gotten that many yards with that big a hole.

had to be 10 feet or more wide. Also there was a huge block in the back that was not called about 10 yards from where the ball went out of bounds.

Something tells me that when the DB (safety I think) went to tackle you on the 33, you would not have been able to give him a stiff arm to the face and get another 27 yards, EVEN if you were able to get through the hole and make it to the 33.

As to the "block in the back", it wasn't. Not even close. Ray Lewis was hit shoulder pad to shoulder pad, and even if he hadn't been, at most it would have stopped the run by a few yards.

I think you might want to take another look before claiming you would have made that 48 yard run against the Ravens D.
