    Default Pete Rose 4192

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BO9lGCS5DTg

25 years ago (9/11)....Pete breaks the all time hit record.
Put Pete In The Hall.......what this guy did on the field is amazing....and yes....it sucks that he did bet on baseball etc....and that he didn't "come clean about it"...until much later....
unbelievable over 4200 hits for his career.....the guy belongs in the Hall of Fame.......no way anyone will average 200 hits for 21 years these days.
    My 5 favorite teams:
    1.The Denver Broncos
    2.The Ohio State Buckeyes
    3.Any team that plays Michigan
    4.The Pittsburgh Pirates
    5.Oklahoma Lady Sooners Basketball Team

2000 career hits is a MAJOR accomplishment... 4192 is a joke.

Its sad this guy isnt in the hall.

yep....living here in Ohio....the memories of growing up listening/watching the reds with Pete Rose etc......are just awesome.
Even toward the end of his 24 year career.....he was still a very good hitter....

Tony Gwynn was the only player I thought would ever have a chance of breaking the record......it seemed like every year he would get 200 hits.....but I think injuries caught up with him...

And he did it with a corked bat.

Dude was a cheater. If he gets in, he should have an asterisk next to his name along with all of the steroid users that will eventually get in. He is a part of MLB history, but he was a cheater, it has been proved.
I got mind control while I'm here
