Thread: Gran Turismo 5

I have been waiting for this game to come out for at least 3 years (ever since I got my PS3).

It's been put off year after year, and it was supposed to come out earlier this month, but got put off again until the 24th. I am about to run out of patience. This is about my favorite type of game, a real-world auto racing simulation with multiple tracks/venues, and hundreds of vehicle choices and game modes.

Anyone else waiting on this one? It better be awesome after so many long delays. For three years I've been seeing essentially "coming next year", and I'd wait a year, think of it again, check, and it would be delayed a year. .. It's gotta be sweet with that long of a development timeline.

I'm more of a need for speed race fan but I was wondering why all the delays? I know sometimes they happen but it sounds like a lot of delays.

I hope you are not disappointed NTL. You've waited long enough and you deserve to be proportionally entertained.

I like the Need for Speed series as well. I just really enjoy a good simulation, whether it's racing, or sports or whatever.

The original Gran Turismo on the original Playstation, was one of my all-time favorite games.

I mean it NTL. You deserve this

i'm def waiting on this game. i'm with you, arcade racers are fun, but GT is just on it's own level.

I've got a PS2. this actually does sound like a cool game

This is one time I wished I had a PS3.

Gran Turismo NEVER dissapoints (aside from the delays with the past 3 games they have put out)

I love Gran Turismo!!

I aced the first and second ones. Hell, I used to use lesser cars to make it more competitive. I used to stay up till 4:00 am after the kids went to bed. Life got to busy and never did get into the later ones.

Now, kids gone, have a little time, I just might have to get #5.

God, i remember playing the first one so many moons ago. I can only imagine the graphics and gameplay if they are up to 5.

I like the Turtle and Drama commercials for Need for Speed.

Racing is one of te gaming genres I do not enjoy.

Can't keep the cars on the road.

In games like GTA which dont offer the bevy of racing features like a full racing title, I'm ok. But NFS, Forza? I'm an embarassment.

So now I picked up the game, but am hopelessly stranded at my Sister-in-law's house visiting for Thanksgiving and they have no PS3.

I feel like a 15 year old kid whose parents bought a car for, but can't drive it until turning 16 in a few months. . . All I can do is read the instruction book and daydream about it.

my friend called me and told me he got it last night... only thing is i have plans to go to copper mountain and go snowboarding... i'm vexed.
