Well, I used to journal it all out, and get to the root of why I feel what I feel- not just "stressed". Then I figure out if there is anything I can do about it or not. If yes, then I figure out how and get out there and do it. Then I do some yoga, and go walking.
But lately? Eat ice cream.
I can tell you the former is MUCH better for me than the latter, but the latter is much easier.

Shooting a glock for the first time was awesome and may be a new hobby in the very near future...
"When we lose the right to be different, we lose the privilege to be free"

I get away from the situation that's stressing me out. Most of the time it's my kids being too noisy and making messes faster than they can be cleaned up. So, when the husband gets home, I take the car and just go somewhere that I don't have to answer to anyone. If I can't get away, I put on the earphone and play the mp3 player loud, and mentally take me away from where I'm currently at. When I'm ready to deal with reality again, I come back.

Nachos and beer!!
The first time I ever shot a Glock, the hot shell ejected and went right down my shirt. At the time I was about 8 months pregnant with my daughter and the sound of the gun startled her too... so that was enough "target practice" for me.
on edit: I should perhaps note that it was the hot shell casing (and not the shell itself) that ejected from the Glock and went down my shirt...

- John Elway“When we do find that guy, we’ve got to have the continuity on the offensive side to where we can train him and develop him and get him there. This is our fourth offense in probably three or four years. Quarterbacks need to be developed. You don’t find one ready-made. We got to have a solid system in place for when we do go after whatever guy it may be, a young guy or a trade or whatnot.”
