It's not that I want to see heinous or gratuitous violence, it's more the intensity and ferocity of dialogue/interpersonal conflict. It rarely comes across as provocative or intimidating when that seems to be what the director/writer is aiming to achieve.

We allow a lot of gratuitous violence--look at Joker. It's not that stuff--the on-camera depiction of wanton and graphic harm and violence.

It's the meaning and intent, the dialogue and mental imagery...the language of it all.
War movies especially, IMO, are dishonest.

I'm relatively serious in my opinion while also having a lot of fun with the conversation.

    Your commentary wounds me, Hawg.

    The Plan at the moment:

Draft: Trade a 3rd and 6th this year to a team to move up and get a 2nd next year (this will happen).

    Players I want:
Jake Ferguson (Jake Butt) or Jelani Woods or Jeremy Ruckert or Cade Otten (owen daniels) at TE- All 4th rd or later.
Troy Anderson LB 3rd/4th rd (yay Timmy!)
Neil Farrell, JR DL- run stuffer- bye purcell

    LOTR>Star Wars

Different genres but both fantasy films.

Yea, hate to say it but The Hobbit/LOTR films trump any of the new Star Wars stuff.

LOTR and Star wars are very close for me. I think I like star wars better I think. However, the jar jar binks star wars are for kids. They suck.

That said, the Hobbit movies are for kids too. Thats a kids movie all the way.

Knowing both are kids movies, Hobbit is the better of the kids movies.

    So for me

    Hobbit>jar jar binks
LOTR<Starwars (this one is really really close though)

I think the problem is that you didn't go into it with enough nerd hype, Wave.

LotR - a better Mafia, and Western, than The Irishman.
