Thread: Last movie you saw - and rate it

Dr. No is one of the best Bond movies.

Connery is obviously the best Bond, but Craig is right behind him. Don't care for Moore, the rest of them are mostly forgettable.

So, since there is nothing new, we decided we would start watching all the old bond movies, some of the real old ones neither the wife or I have ever seen, or maybe seen parts of them when they were on TV many decades ago.

We started with Dr. No. I slept through about half of it (had a migraine, took some Zomig and don't know if it was rebound from the headache, but I kind of crashed on the couch). So, not really sure what to say about Dr. No. What was readily apparent is that it had some God awful acting. Like, in one of the opening scenes, a woman is killed by three assassins, and her being shot, screaming and falling to the ground were just horribly acted.

But, overall it was kind of cool and can see how some of the things/themes set in this first Bond carry through the whole series (Bond, Jame Bond -- Martini, mixed not stirred, Walther PPK, etc.).

I think I've fallen asleep in every Bond movie I've tried to watch. They are terrible.

He was great but i was always more of a Moore fan. Live and Let Die is still my favorite Bond movie to date.

I've really enjoyed the Daniel Craig movies, but since Moore was bond when I was a kid and first started watching it, I liked Moore as Bond, even though many people don't think he was a good Bond.
