Netflix. Brother goes to save sister from cult who kidnapped her in 1905 to a remote English island. And then shit gets weird and creepy and supernatural.
I’m not sure what just happened, but I kind of liked it.

Considering the movie is based on real life, it’s a movie about political extremism in Oslo, Norway. It’s comparative to Timothy McVeigh. It’s not for the faint of heart. I did feel for the victims.

The film recreates the events in vivid detail. Kind of like watching a youtube video of a beheading that you know is the real thing. But not real ofc. Still intense.
Then there's still a shit ton of movie left, so you think, what the hell am I going to watch? It's a story about a family with a kid who was shot but wasn't killed. They put the pieces back together.
Meanwhile, the crazy dude is trying to frame his whole thing like an act of war and he's the hero. The actor does a fantastic job.
Sometimes a writer and director know how to pack meaning into a film, this was one of those. Great ending. Longish. Would recommend.
