Thread: Last movie you saw - and rate it

The first Hunger Games was really good.


I don't care how much influence it had from other movies. No movie is truly original, it's all archetypes (see Joseph Campbell's Power of Myth).

Im with Timmy, i think the HG's movies suck.

The first one was horrible, and basically insulted my intelligence with giant plot holes. My girlfriend loved it. Go figure.

I thought for a book to movie that they did a decent job with the HG's movies (I have only seen the first one though)

As an avid reader I am usually HIGHLY disappointed in the movie version but HG was pretty spot on

The trailer looked better than it actually was.

But I watched it with my oldest kid and she liked it, so that was nice.

Inherent Vice is coming out soon but I don't think my local theater is gonna get it. That's a bummer.

Snowpiercer, on netflix. Sci-fi actiony movie starring Captain America. It's about a world in which humans do a thing in order to stop global warming and it ends up making everything freeze so they all get on a bullet train that they've been surviving on for 17 years and things happen. It's great.

The Equalizer. 10/10

Um. The last time denzel went around killing bad guys in that kidnap movie Man On Fire. I thought cutting peoples fingers off before killing them was hardcore. Dude takes it to a whole nother level in Equalizer. From the beginning, how he handles people is just straight wild.....and the last scene is glorious. Absolutely one of the best and ruthless scenes i have seen in a movie yet. Denzel does it so ice cold man. Guy is cold as ice.

Definitely one of my favorite actors all time. And this movie ranks near the top 10 action movies i have seen.

Just bought blazing saddles at Albertsons for five bucks, so excited to find this movie

Finally watched Guardians of the Galaxy meh/10

Don't get the hype. Hard-pressed I'd say 5.5-6/10

Just got watching that, credits still rolling. I thought it was really good, not something to take super serious and kind of funny. You're being too hard on it
