    Solo - 8.5/10

Not sure why this flick is getting the negative press.
It was fun and well paced and a solid entry into the canon.
Rogue One was my favorite of the new Star Wars movies but this one is now.

    The Strangers: Prey At Night

    5.5/10

Not as good as the first one but had a little Friday the 13th vibe to it. It was ok but not great.

    "The Staircase" on Netflix. 8/10

I thought it was pretty good and interesting! (documenting the trial of Michael Peterson, accused of murdering his wife, Kathleen Peterson)

For those who saw “The Staircase”, what are your thoughts? Did you think Michael actually did it? Or was it a fall?

    Saw two movies this weekend.

    Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom: 8/10

I didn't care for the first Jurassic World and have no clue how it made over a billion dollars, but I liked this one. The original Jurassic Park was much darker than the movie and had some great horror elements to it. Jurassic World plays much more with these themes and has some fun action sequences with big ass dinosaurs. Pretty much what you expect from the trailers is what you get so there's that I guess. Cinematic junk food.

Won't You Be My Neighbor: 9.5/10 (or Do You Need a Good Cry/10)

A much needed shot of purity to the soul in this divisive and cynical world. I never really watched his program much when I was a kid but this wonderfully crafted documentary gives you a great insight to his message and how he took the medium of children's television as a serious way to let kids know how they were special. Not entitled, but special. I expected this to be an interesting film based on the trailer, but it is so much more and a very bittersweet reflection on something we've seem to have lost these past several years.

The Hobbit (Live Action...sort of a ton of CGI is afoot).

It was fun. I love Tolkien and the book is my favorite of all time. But, adaptations are fine and I like movies that are fun. If I had to give it a fair numerical ranking out of ten I would have to give it a seven, but I like it more than a seven.

    Jungle- 9/10

Very good flick based on a true story of a man named Yossi (played by Daniel Radcliffe) who gets lost in the jungle while taking part in an adventure with a couple of friends and a mysterious guide whom they meet in Mexico. This is probably my favorite acting performance from Radcliffe as he does a stellar job here.

Desolation of Smaug - my least favorite of the three because I'm a fanboy and thought they botched Smaug. It's okay. GDI, the voice was wrong, the lines were wrong, the fights were wrong...my fanboying is so potent right now. )=

Been trying to get the fam out to this one. It's playing again this week at Littleton Alamo.

Almost saw it there but it was playing at the Esquire earlier. Great family flick and a wonderful documentary.

I love the hobbit and tolkien, those movies are awful lol....

This coming from someone who is a big fan of both Benedict Cumberbatch and Martin Freeman.

I will say though. I loved Cumberbatch's performance as Smaug.

WITF is up with Petersons and feeling like they have to murder their loved ones? I'll definitely check this out, I'm not familiar with the Michael Peterson story

to answer your question, yeah, I think it's pretty obvious that he did
