I was really pleasantly surprised. I know they took a lot of historic liberties, but they didn’t sugar coat his life as much as I thought they would, and the recreation of the Live Aid performance was awesome.

    Rami Malek was incredible.

I have not seen Vice, A Star Is Born, Green Book or The Favourite. I would like Black Panther to win best picture. It’s an incredible flick. I know it won’t.

The only nominee i've seen is Roma and I hope it wins big.

I would like to see BlacKkKlansman but have zero interest in seeing any of the other nominees.

It would be a literal travesty for a derivative superhero movie to win such a prestigious award.

There are superhero movies more worthy than Black Panther.

The only two I’d make an argument for are Logan and Wonder Woman. You?

The Dark Knight is leaps and bounds better than any of these movies. So is the Dark Knight Rises for that matter.

Are they able to be up for it right now? If not, you just move forward and go with the top movies. Black Panther was a wonderful movie, and far more relevant than a lot of the other choices.

You're being a Vance Joseph right now. Don't do that.

I can see the argument for Dark Knight, but not Rises.

But, Black Panther shouldn't be punished because the Academy failed 10 years ago. Ledger did win an Oscar for it, fwiw.

The Dark Knight is a baller movie and I love it. But it is too flawed to be a Best Picture Oscar winner. TDKR is even more flawed.

I should clarify that I don't think any superhero movie is particularly worthy of a Best Picture win. The significance of Black Panther is great, but that in itself does not make it a deserving winner for Best Picture - insofar as winning an Academy Award is significant anyway.
