Solo- A star was story 9/10

This is easily my favorite of the latter spinoffs and probably in my top 3. I had concerns about the main actor (although I specifically/purposefully do not follow development of stuff like this), but the dude pulled it off very well in my opinion. Definitely mastered some looks that were clearly crafted by studying Harrison Ford.

But my favorite thing about the movie is the fact that it clarifies something said by Harrison Ford's character that always seemed silly to me; Making the Kessel run in 12 parsecs. Brilliant.

I like that it had the lady from GoT and showed her lovely butt several times.

    I like the butt.

    Dean. 8/10

A very predictable, but well acted typical story romcom

All the usual plot twists but for some reason I just loved it

I do quite enjoy romcoms anyway, so that is a factor when deciding if you want to give this a go.

I would summarise it as typical, but an independent, quirky and thoughtful romcom

Dave, I’ve been watching a Netflix show I think you’d like. Its called Bodyguard and it’s set in London. You should be able to find it fairly easy I would assume.

It’s a solid 7.5 for plot and character development.

Is that the one with the Brandon Stark from GOT in it?

Watching Silver Linings Playbook - one of my all time favorite movies. 9/10

The interaction between Lawrence and Cooper is delightful in every scene, same in Joy and American Hustle - the two of them just click on screen

    Bohemian Rhapsody 8.5/10

Despite some mixed reviews, I found this movie to be an entertaining overview of one of the most iconic rock bands of all time. The story starts with the formation of the band all the way to their show stopping performance at Live Aid in 1985. The recreation of that particular concert in particular is a visual spectacle that makes it appear that you are on stage with the band and gives you a great sense of just how huge that show felt in person. There is also a great moment by none other than Mike Myers who offers a great meta level joke as he portrays a record executive that I don't want to spoil here.

Sure they could've gone more into Freddy Mecury's personal life but this isn't a biopic about him, and you can tell they took some creative liberties to move the story along, but Rami Malek's performance as Mercury and the music move this film right along into a crescendo worthy of the band who's story is being told.

Robb if we are gonna be a lil' bitch about it!

Seriously though, I started watching Bodyguard and created a drinking game for whenever someone says "ma'am" (which sounds like "mum" for some reason?).

Also, I've just got back from having my stomach pumped.

Haha. You got me, at first.
*The statements above are my opinions, unless they are links, because then they are links, which wouldn't make them my opinions, and I suppose stats aren't necessarily opinion, but they are certainly presented to support an opinion. Proceed accordingly.
