At what point did anything in that movie impress you?

    Sinister.

    6/10

I'm going to have to watch it again. Somewhat original, I guess, but I just wasn't overly impressed.

The points when they were satirizing the shitty tropes that have plagued horror movies for years. And also the parts when 13 year olds didn't understand that they were pointing out the stupidity of certain horror movie cliches and thus thought it was just a baaaaad movie.

Yeah, I'm a fan of that movie, for basically blowing up the horror genre while still being a horror movie. You don't see a lot of satire within a genre and that movie accomplished that.

Sorry, there is NOTHING original about it. The fact that you are trying to tell me that film was a good horror flick tells me you know nothing of the genre. End of story.

    Not really original.

The whole "Super 8 Movie" reminds me a bit of The Ring and the VHS tape thing. And of course the boogie man is a bit cliche but what i did like was the atmosphere and storyline. I just like the overall feeling of dread throughout it. I would of definitely done a few things differently especially with the scream like ending. But overall, compared to a lot of horror films in this day and age it has more going for it. Still need to see Insidious yet as some have said its good but havent gotten around too seeing it.

please. Cabin in the woods was good. Not great. I think i gave it a 7/10?.......

Lol. Piranah was actually better i was expecting. It was still pretty bad but the impressive body count and boobs made it not a complete waste of time.

It was an okay horror flick. It was a great satire. Intentionally mocking the horror genre by using horror genre tropes. That's why it was original. Metacommentary!
