Life Itself - 10/10
This movie got panned by critics - but i thought it i was a thought provoking brilliant movie that made me consider what is important and insignificant in life.
I also drank some more whisky and this may be impacting my philisophical view of this movie
Watched Miracle Season tonight. Didn't know what it was going in (other than being about a volley ball team), but it was a damn good movie.
Left Behind (2000) - Nicholas Cage. I get the biblical meaning, but a kind of cheesy movie.
"The Last Laugh" 7/10. It is on Netflix and it was somewhat entertaining. However, I was surprised about Richard Dreyfuss. He looks older for his age.
Polar - awesome and also totally horrific out of ten
This movie is so bad it is amazing.
Katherine Winnick is in it, so it is automatically graded as 10/10
Then these little child like assassins are terrible in it so it drops to 5/10
Then it is horrifically graphic - so it jumps back up to 9/10
Then Matt Lucas is the world worst villain - 0/10
The script and general acting is 5/10
Mads Mikkelson bumps it back up to 8/10
Small, and not overly obvious twist also 5/10
Lastly the fight scenes make it john wick-esque at times which is clearly awesome
Overall - i have no idea, but i know i enjoyed it.
Looking forward to the sequel! (if it happens)
A simple favour 6/10
Not bad mystery/comedy/drama
Anna Kendrick is genuinely entertaining in any role she plays, but i certainly would not watch it again.
Polar- 9/10
While at times very cheesy and while not an original plot this was highly entertaining. Mainly because Mads Mikkleson and Katherine Winnick put on some very good performances here. Certainly a bit predictable (even to the end for me) but there are some great scenes that i loved (Dont be afraid....) so i would watch this again with no problem. If you are into movies like Shooter, Bourne Identity, Replacement Killers, The Big Hit, etc you will dig this.
