What I meant is that it's often hard for me to parse my thoughts properly and completely, but you hit the one I left unsaid and it made me happy.

Santa Sangre on prime instant. Surrealist horror film by the controversial Jodorowsky. It's like Psycho, but on acid and in a circus. Pretty entertaining. If you ever wanted to see people with down syndrome do coke.

The Straight Story. Rented this on Amazon. It's an interesting based-on-a-true-story thing about an older guy who is basically dying and decides to go see his estranged brother who he found out had a stroke. In order to do this, he goes on a road trip on his riding lawnmower through the midwest. Lots of great scenery, one of David Lynch's most normal efforts. It's a neat, low key movie about life, death, family, etc.

What I didn't know until afterwards is that the guy playing the main character - Richard Farnsworth - had prostate cancer and killed himself a year after the movie was released. Which makes his portrayal of this character quiet tragic.
